Front loader inspections help spot potential faults before they develop into a more serious and costly defect. Our loader truck checklist has been designed to help companies improve safety, reduce maintenance costs and ensure compliance with legal responsibilities.

The checklist can be used as part of your daily, weekly or shut down checks and covers important checks for critical components – ranging from a shovel loaders pre-start up checks, engine checks and running/start-up checks. Using these checklists regularly as part of your preventative maintenance programme will ensure that potential faults and dangers can be identified as quickly as possible which will help to prevent costly accidents and downtime.

If there is a defect that affects the immediate safe operation of the shovel loader, it must be reported, and the machine taken out of service immediately.

Simply attach our status tag to your truck to provide a clear visual reminder to employees to carry out a pre-use inspection and enable the completed checklist to be placed inside the status tag to show the findings and date of inspection to all other employees. By displaying a “Do Not Use” message it essentially quarantines the vehicle until the truck has been repaired and deemed safe to use – after which a new inspection can be completed and the tag’s status updated to display a “Good to Go” message.

Each check book contains a total of 25 individual inspection checklists relating to components and mechanics. A duplicate carbon copy of the completed inspection is retained in the book for management records. The book also includes useful guidance notes to remind operatives what to look for during their walkaround inspection.
